Thank you so much for this beautiful ceremony. The use of colours and materials made the mandala so vibrant and brought to life all previous teachings on the structure of being. In my years studying with this community I believe this was one of the most powerful and vivid workshops I had the pleasure of attending.

The experience of the Sacred Architecture Course, perhaps as any of the intensives that I’ve experienced so far, is hard to describe in words. Having just met Bhuvaneswari this summer, I was only able to attend the last few months of Ray Courses, and found each to impart very distinct and powerful offerings...And the final course was like finale of a symphony! Truth, power, colour, simplicity... I left refreshed and clear-minded, grateful for the support and connection with like-minded souls.

Loving attention

Do you want to make it better?

Have you ever had the feeling that you want to improve yourself on the level of health ,personality or communications skills?

Yes, this is a natural tendency we all have for expansion and for self  improvement, it can be however a trap when we don't take what I call the will-less approach.

As I see people day after day, I distinctively see over and over again the human tendency of self improvement by the use of an inner  effort,  and by creating a strategy with the  expectation that it will fix them . I see this tendency as people often ask me HOW CAN I FIX MYSELF ?
This innocent question initiates  endless thoughts and plans as the mind  projects us into the future sacrificing our spontaneous view and experience of life .

The curious thing is that what we are usually trying to fix is a unseen feeling of guilt.
We have a  hard time accepting life's rough teachings. We expect to learn without making mistakes, and as we inevitably do we judge ourselves because it does not fit with our high standards of perfection and with our self image .
Most often this type of guilt has no real foundation in reality. It is there because of our ridiculously  high self expectations to be constantly perfect.

This attitude can be relaxed by giving yourself a reality check, by honestly asking yourself if you are truly guilty of not doing your best in life's situations .
If this false guilt is not confronted often with affection and neutral overviews, we will continue to engage in a  false and exhausting drive to redeem ourselves .

The sad part is that we truly believe that we need to make tremendous efforts towards redemption to give ourselves a feeling of freedom and peace of mind. I can tell you that all efforts of self improvement that are coming from that place are not going to work. You may feel clever, smart and in control, but really what  you are doing is avoiding your true self .

The power of attention
When I mention to my class that all is required to liberate inner rigidity is undivided loving attention, they look at me like this is too simple to be true.
It is actually a very simple act, so simple in fact that it makes the mind restless .
It is a powerful moment when the breath, the mind and the body join in a smile, in an acceptance that you are just what you are in that specific moment of your learning process.
By being quiet and by slowing down your daily activities you will naturally meet that place.

I have witnessed real magic in healing and in inner awareness when we tap into that space sincerely and affectionately.

Effort wants control, understanding.
Neutral attention only contemplates what is there with no pretensions or ideas of how to make better.
Attention brings contemplation,
contemplation brings beauty
beauty brings harmony and gratitude.

It is that moment when the true creator inside of you
emerges in full power and glory and explodes it's light in all 6 directions.
You become a living testimony of abundance, presence and love.

Svatantra Spicy Greens Soup

Tridoshic, slightly +Pitta
Serves 4 hungry friends

Ingredients
1 cup each of kale, collards and chard, chopped
4-5 cups water
2 tsps organic corn flour dissolved in 2 tbsp water
1 tsp cayenne pepper or 1 red hot chili pepper, chopped
2-3 tbsp ghee
1 tbsp cilantro, freshly chopped
1/2 tsp black pepper freshly ground
1/2 tsp sea salt or to taste
1 tsp nutritional flakes (optional)

Instructions:
Heat the ghee on medium heat in a large saucepan, add the chopped greens and chili (if using fresh) and saute on low heat for about 5-6 minutes.  Now, add the water and spices, including chili, if using dry.  Bring to boil on medium heat.  Next, add the corn flour and simmer on low heat for about 4-5 minutes.  Remove from heat and add the cilantro.  Cover and let sit for five minutes.  If using nutritional flakes, add now.

Note: The greens are great blood purifiers and are full of calcium.  Adding nutritional yeast supplies you with 18 amino acids, making it a complete protien, and with B Vitamins, which aid the body in managing stress levels.  Do not eat more than 3 tbsp of nutritional yeast a day, as it creates excess uric acid in the bloodstream, which can tax the kidneys.

Problems with authority?

If you honestly ask yourself why authority figures of different types are affecting you as a disharmony of your freedom, consider a few things…

1.- You are at the mercy of the opinion of others, realize that they are mostly ghosts in your head that you have conveniently placed there to not have to assume your own power.

2.-  Understanding the sacred contract you had with parents, teachers, can help you reclaim your inner freedom.

3.- You need a time and space, as well as a process to understand the contract, to gain back what is yours and to reclaim inner responsibility.

4.- You are too proud to accept direction.

5.- You  stubbornly struggle to maintain your ways or a win/lose position. You may be using the image of authority to maintain a face of being good or right.

If you are in any of these situations
Please request from us your RA ceremony to cut any biological cords you have with significant authority people in your life. It will give you an opportunity to accept the natural directive voice that we all have inside of our self. It will support a wider understanding of the situation as well as getting free from feelings of regret, anger and passive aggressiveness.

What about January?

6 steps to ease inner discomfort.

If you are now being hit by internal or outer discomforts , observe first that this is only a preview and the coming new year’s announcement to us the need to own self responsibility. The next month will present opportunities for insight into neglected parts of one’s self needing attention.

My suggestions to you are:

1.- Take nothing personally, what this means is that even if they appearing to, people and events are not really hurting you, you, consciously or unconsciously have created this situation to learn from.

2.-  Recognize the lesson presenting it’s self. Apply it  by taking leadership of your life .This means applying your strength and vitality towards constructive actions and ways of thinking.

3.-Keep your purity by accepting that these are only lessons you are manifesting to learn from and release self judgment around them. Recognize that you are not a bad person as you play them out. See that as a child cries or has a tantrum it does not mean that the child is bad. It is simply an expression that facilitates for us an insight about where we really are .

4.- Cultivate stillness and objectivity by not reacting immediately and impulsively towards what we perceive is causing us  pain, fear or anxiety. Rather  give things some time and space, some contemplation, meditation and silence, be kind to yourself. That is the only way through with impeccability.

5.- Be grateful you are alive and willing to change and receive the lessons.
The more openness you have towards them in your life the more profound the lessons are.

6. move your body, sweat a bit and enjoy your powerful breath !
