Our Sattva Almond Milk has an extremely smooth and
satisfying taste. Made from organic, unpasteurized almonds, this sattvic
companion enhances smoothies, cereals, soups, and stews. You may, however, find
yourself drinking it right from the jar! The skins are removed by hand, thereby
avoiding the accumulation of toxins and moulds in your system. No treated
water, sugars or preservatives added.
Ingredients: Raw organic almonds, water, organic
medjool dates, organic vanilla, Pink Himalayan salt.
Sustainability and Deposit System:
In order to reduce our carbon footprint and avoid the
use of plastic, we will be honouring a deposit system for our reusable glass
jars. A 1.00$ deposit will be included in the purchase price of every product and
will be reimbursed if and when the jars are returned.

NOTE FROM SAMYUKTA
This past weekend, I was spent time gardening with a group of 12 friends from the Bioenergetics community. The weather was wonderful. In no time the men shoveling rich black earth to create new beds, and dug some holes while women removed dying annuals, weeded, and planted a couple of trees, bulbs and perennial healing herbs. I learned of new plants and their properties in the process, which I look forward to sharing with you in the acne workshop on October 23.
We stopped for lunch with a summer salad, a fall soup and blueberry pie for desert, while hearing about the adventures of two new mothers with their 7-week old and 7 months old boys. As we were huddling tightly around the table, we basked in a warm sense of community, feeling its strong, generous and productive nature. We laughed and teased each other, sweated a bit and ended up swimming in the frigid water of the Gatineau River. Driving home, I felt totally fulfilled, admiring the fall colours gradually tinting the trees, grateful for the company of my passengers as they rested quietly.
I wondered about the kinds of communities you belong to. What do you gain from being part of one? What do you contribute to it? When are you most active within it? What do you love most about it?

Dear Friends:
On August 8th I gave birth to Ishtak, a beautiful baby boy. He was born 6 weeks early…perhaps some foreshadowing meaning that he’ll always keep me “on my toes.” We are both doing very well and are happy and cozy here at home.
I want to extend a heart-felt thank-you to all of you who contributed money to the support fund Bhuvaneswari collected for us. And thank-you Bhuvaneswari for initiating this generous plan.
All of your contributions have helped to make it possible for me to stay at home with Ishtak for the first year of his life. It is a sheer delight to see how he grows and changes every day!
Thank-you also to all of you who have brought food and gifts and awesome hand-me-downs to support and celebrate Ishtak’s arrival. He has a larger wardrobe than I do! I’ve also appreciated all of your emails and visits. I look forward to watching Ishtak develop relationships with all of his lovely aunties and uncles…and grandmas and grandpas.
It is fitting that I am submitting this note for the “community” themed blog. Having a baby has strengthened the bonds of community that I feel with so many of you. Ishtak himself has chosen to be born into a spiritual community, with so many wonderful people to love him. Remember that quote, “it takes a whole village to raise a child?” Well, I feel blessed to be a part of this village that unites us here on Earth.

BUILDING A HOUSE IN COLOMBIA
Yes, I would like to supply a family in Colombia with a fund of $ 2.000.00 dollars to enlarge the house that they are currently living in.
I have known this family for 7 years, they are dedicated to working the land and to honestly raise their family in the country side of central Colombia. The 5 of them are currently living in one bedroom no bigger that 5X 4 mts. The 2 older children sleep together in one bed while the parents sleep with the baby, they have their kitchen, bathroom and clothing, all in that bedroom.
What my sister ( the manager of the project) and I would like to do is to make an extension of the current building so that the bathroom, and kitchen will be separate from their bedroom.
We have already managed to get some of the bathroom and kitchen materials and we have some doors and windows. Also, we also have some titles for the floor and a few bags of cement.
I know that with a little input from our community we can make really a difference in the well being of this family.
