Solstice self-qualification

Dear One:

Today is the time when the full moon shines over our heads  displaying this amazing and strong solstice  that has not been seen before.

Contemplate this:

·      The moon will be full, with the length of day and night exactly the same
·      It will be a lunar eclipse (the first in nearly 3 years).

But this is not everything; the divine will celebrate with us a graceful beauty, in still another coincidence on this special day.

·      The Earth's orbit about the Sun creates a circular plane.  The Milky Way Galaxy rotates in a disk that creates another circular plane.  Then, the sky's circling meridian running through the celestial poles in the precise direction of the Earth's 23.44-degree tilt creates another plane.  All three planes intersect at the time of the Lunar Eclipse.  At the time of the total Eclipse the darkened Moon will be aligned with the Milky Way plane, the Solar System plane, and the Earth's tilted axis. The Earth's axial tilt varies between 22.1° and 24.5° with a 42,000 year period, and at present, the tilt is decreasing.  It is about 23.44 presently.

Yes, all this is happening right above our heads, celebrating our existence and the universe's divine synchronicity.

As I contemplate these galactic happenings, all I feel is a reverence and a sense of offering.  What can I possibly offer to this level of magnitude and perfection?

I realize all I need to do is to qualify myself as a co-creator.
I am in a small way contributing to creation. The contribution is the exercise of joy through all the activities that I have completed this year.
I am here not only qualifying myself, that yes, it is possible to shape and manifest my gift, but also I can share it.

For me this year is energetically close with this solstice. With this thought, I reflect upon what I had done this year. As I do this I reassure my capacities, consistency and fearlessness.

This year, we have facilitated:

·      A two weeks retreat in the Bosa Peninsula, Costa Rica
·      Workshops, conferences and private sessions in San Isidro. Costa Rica.
·      Two silent retreats in Ottawa and Wakefield.
·      12 one-day intensives in Wakefield and Costa Rica.
·      Two days retreat, "The Four Minds" in Wakefield
·      Two day retreat, "The Emotional Body," in Wakefield.
·      Two, Club Yoga teacher trainings in Ottawa and Wakefield.
·      One 7-day Canadian pilgrimage to Toronto
·      Six appearances at festivals, gatherings and conferences, in Ottawa, Wakefield, Lady Smith and Almonte.
·      200 free assessments done in Ontario and Quebec.
·      Completed the full year agenda of our Tuesday meditation.
·      Two RA ceremonies in Wakefield.
·      One week Sha retreat in Lady Smith.
·      One herbal medicine workshop and art workshop for teens from all over Canada (Encounters with Canada) in Wakefield & Ottawa
·      Five International Online courses.
·      One Bioenergetics' teacher training.
·      One 7-days tour to Quebec, including teaching workshops, private consultations and earth healing ceremonies.
·      Four Practical Awakening courses.
·      Two Unification courses.
·      1500 hours teaching privately, national and international students.
·      One Women's Empowerment Day.

Surely I can see this as my achievement for this year, but really it is all about  availability  to the fluidity of creation and to the given support of my team.

These manifestations are symbols of a certain commitment and frame of mind.
But the real achievement for me is in the internal and intimate disposition of the personality, to have the role of a wife, mother and friend in my life.

As the Family moved to a new home, and the Ottawa business building was under renovations, the ground for growth expanded and solidified the inner gratitude and flexibility.

I must admit that my inspiration, fearlessness and consistency come from the unspoken love towards all of you.  I see the potential of divinity in each person I meet and I smile in gratitude and in complicity that I have the immensity of infinity in front of me.

I thank you for your contribution, passive or active, to my merit and upliftment. It is your desire to improve yourself that ignites the power of transformation in your own life as well as in many other dimensions, including mine.

Matthew, my family and I wish you a beautiful and peaceful holiday and I am looking forward to grow together in the New Year. May you help me to serve you.

Meditation to do in a solstice day

This 4th century winter ceremony/meditation is lovely for both children and adults. It is now incorporated in many Waldorf schools teachings as a way to celebrate the equalization of light and darkness.
The spiral walk teaches reverence, compassion, and journeying on a path to find where you stand in the dark vast space of the universe. Don't you think every child and adult could benefit from this experience?!!!

Traditionally this meditation is done after you had constructed a spiral with cedar branches.

Basically, the idea is this: a large spiral created of pinegreenery and interesting branches. It is decorated with crystals, pine cones and other wintry items from Nature. In the center stands a  non wobbly stump with a flat surface - on this stands a large pillar candle, lit.

Outside of the spiral someone stands with a tray with one red apple per person. The apples need to have been cored and a small candle put into each. Test out the apple candles to ensure they stand firmly - discard any which have a tendency to fall over. One adult carries the trays and hands an unlit apple candle to each person as s/he in turn comes up to the spiral. Light up the candle from the main candle and put it in the branches. Allow each person to do go in and out of the spiral and sit outside the spiral in silence and contemplation.
This meditation can be done in group of by yourself. It is all about your intention ! enjoy it.

Active meditation: A way to access your stillness

Meditation Moves

Active  meditation is one of the meditations that have enlightened most people around the world. It’s a meditation so effortless, that a child can do it.  Actually a child can do it better than you because he has no mind. You have done this meditation many, many, many times,  especially in retreat, when we are aware of what is it we are doing.

How was our x-mas party?

Dear Bhuvaneswari,

Thank you for the lovely evening at the Bioenergetics Christmas party. It was truly the most sacred and touching holiday event I have been a part of. The altar was beautiful, I enjoyed the activities and exchanges and was so pleased to partake in the spirit of gratitude and connectedness that blessed us that evening. The energy of peace graced our presence and I thought of all the places in the world that needed that energy at this time. Thank you so much for the invitation!

In gratitude,

MH

neither Expressing nor suppressing

Over expressing or repressing spoils our creative communication

In the process of communicating with our creativity we have the tendency to lose our centre, either by over expressing or by repressing.  This is a phenomenon that needs to be understood  in order to educate the solidity of our centre and the maturity of our creative communication.

It all starts with our moods. We typically do not relate to them as something that will pass. We tend to react immediately, or to withdraw. We do not grant our moods the chance to mature:  firstly by not identifying with them, and secondly by bringing them to a centre of neutrality.

Others are our centre

Let’s recall the moments where you felt angry or hurt:  we make another person  responsible for that.  Somebody disagrees with us or says  something ungraceful to us, so we react. At that moment we make the other person our centre and we therefore lose our centre. The choice of expressing our feelings or repressing them does not help to recover our centre, because the other person will still be at the base of our feelings.

So what is important is to not place the emphasis neither on the expression nor on the suppression. The emphasis rather is on knowing from where this anger or hurt arises. Anger has arisen in me; ordinarily I can do two things:  either I express it to someone or I repress it. In either case, I am more concerned with the other person and with the energy of anger that has come to the surface--rather than the source.

Using the feelings to go to the source

We need to educate ourselves to remove ourselves from the periphery of these feelings. Look at the energy of anger arising and move deep down to find the source within yourself, where is it coming from? The moment you find the source, remain centred in it.

We can use any emotion to find the centre. The whole exercise is not to do anything with the feeling itself, otherwise you get lost in the ride of your own moods and /or the reactions of others.

Energy is neutral

Understand that by expressing it, you can get a release, but you won’t change your perception and by repressing it you will be postponing that expression for another day or another form.  Neither choice will change the centre of perception.

All we need to remember is that energy is neither anger, nor love, nor hate. Those feelings will pass. Energy is simple, energy is neutral. The same energy becomes anger, becomes sex, becomes love. Your mind gives the form, and the energy moves into it.

That is why when you are in love it is harder to be angry, or when you are experiencing sexual satisfaction your chances of being violent are minimized. The energy is invested in specific feelings or situations.

Discern your choices wisely, move deeper within yourself, and see the source from where those feelings are arising. Only then, can you remain neutral, untouchable and removed from the storms of your moods and that of others.
